About Sam

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a racing driver …

As the son of Canadian racing legend Ron Fellows, Sam started his driving career in karts before advancing into cars as a teenager.

Sam attended Carleton University’s Journalism program and currently heads communications & media at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Sam also aids in operations for the Motomaster Ron Fellows Karting Championship.

In addition, Sam is the Lead Instructor at CTMP’s Ron Fellows Driving Experience, a certified Instructor for Porsche Canada, and has been a brand ambassador for sponsors and related companies.

Career Highlights:

  • Graduated from the Bridgestone Racing Academy in 2014, winning course finale race

  • Spent three seasons in Ontario regional endurance racing, taking 7 podiums in 7 races and 5 wins

  • Won the 2017 CASC GT Challenge Championship

  • Partnered with Pfaff Motorsports in 2018, driving a Pfaff BMW M235i Racing to victory in first ever Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) start

  • Partnered again with Pfaff Motorsports in 2019, winning the 2019 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada Gold Class Championship

  • Focused on sim-racing in 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic, became a Brand Ambassador for the Porsche eSports Sprint Challenge Canada

  • Made NASCAR Canada Series debut in 2021, finished second in Rookie points

  • Returned to the NASCAR Canada Series in 2022, securing multiple Top-10 finishes

  • In 2023 Sam and the Fellows family created Fellows McGraw Racing (FMR) to compete in the NASCAR Canada Series entering five races
